Narrow hilltops, crumbling cliff edges and watershed, mountain ranges were the inspiration for this heavily textured original piece. There is a real energy cascading down the canvas, with neutral, soft tones interweaved with bolder black and deep brown marks. Although there is a sense of movement within the piece, there is also a calmness offered to the viewer, with the larger area of stillness and the subtle blur between some of the tones within the painting. This is a piece that can be looked at over and over and each time, it offers something new.
