New Abstract Print Release: Stormy Mist & Waters Edge
Launching this month we have two beautiful new abstract prints to add to our collection, including one incredible landscape print entitled ‘Stormy mist’, and a stunning diptych set of portrait abstract prints entitled ‘Waters edge’. Each of these new prints are beautifully designed to hang in their respective orientations, however due to their abstract nature, each prints orientation can be altered to your personal taste and environment. If you wish to change the orientation of your print just email us on info@tonithorntonart.com and we will add this to your order notes and ensure your piece is signed accordingly.
Each of these prints have been created with home interior spaces in mind, taking into account the various different textures and tones which may be incorporated within your space whilst also adding an element of inspiration. These pieces are intended to compliment your existing spaces, whilst also adding an extra layer of detail and depth. I am completely in awe with each piece and cannot wait to share them with you in this blog!

Similarly, following the success of one of Toni’s previous designs, ‘Cosy storm’, which sold out of all 100 in the edition, she wanted to create something with similar textures for those customers who missed out. Our beautiful new abstract print ‘Stormy Mist’ is similar, however the piece is unique in its own right, bringing together cooler tones of white, pale beige, and stone amongst the deeper grey and charcoal black marks. The use of layering within the piece makes for the perfect addition to any space requiring an extra sprinkling of drama, intensifying a blank wall by mirroring a stormy mist in the distance. The dramatic effect is created through the artworks energetic feathered marks which lay across the canvas. The piece would add the perfect amount of intensity to any space whilst allowing the viewer to pause for a moment of recollection. This piece is truly beautiful and could serve as a poignant feature in any space.

This showstopping diptych set of abstract paintings beautifully combine tones of blue with white highlights and warmer, brown hints which break through the surface of the canvas. The pieces were painted as if the viewer was sitting by a small opening of the water, the stillness of the water inspiring a moment of reflection and tranquillity. The pieces clearly work beautifully as a set, however there is something new for the viewer to explore within each piece, and therefore would work well placed in different areas within your space if you chose to. Of course, each piece can also be turned landscape, in which you may see something completely different within the paintings. That is the beauty in a set of paintings like this; your eyes may find their own meaning within the paintings as you gaze into the various layers and texture the pieces have to offer.
