Our Tempest Design

Choosing abstract art for your home is made simple when choosing our top pick for this season, our limited edition abstract print entitled ‘Tempest’. This design is abstract in nature, combining beautiful tones of warm burgundy, taupe and sharp white. ‘Tempest’s’ design builds deep layers resulting in a dramatic display and is heavily textured.

As with all our Toni Thornton Art printed artworks, ‘Tempest’ is limited edition, meaning only 100 editions of this design will ever be created. Each print is produced using an 8 colour latex fine art printing process and is created onto 360gsm fine art canvas. Each design is made to order and is hand-signed and numbered by Toni once created.

The abstract nature of many of Toni’s designs means that you can choose which orientation you would like to display the artwork. Many of our fantastic clients have displayed ‘Tempest’ in landscape orientation rather than the intended portrait. Each artwork will be signed and numbered by Toni accordingly.

Is ‘Tempest’ an Abstract Design?

By definition, abstract art is a term usually applied to non-representational art which does not depict a visual reality. Instead, abstract art may use colours, shapes, gestural marks, tones, and other artistic measures to achieve its intended effect.

You can purchase our ‘Tempest’ artwork directly through our website by clicking this link here. The sizes available online are our standard sizes; 16×24” & 24×32” for our abstract collection. If you require a more bespoke size, please do let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate your request for your empty wall space.

When purchasing online, one of the framing options are our smooth finish black, brown, white, gold or silver frames. These frames sit approximately 23mm from the wall and are similar to a traditional frame where the frame slightly overlaps the canvas.

You can also opt for our 38mm wooden grain effect tray frames in either black, brown or white. Our tray frames sit approximately 55mm from the wall and give the illusion that the canvas is floating inside the frame.

Our 19mm classic frames arrive ready to hang with a canvas guide, whereas our 38mm tray framed canvas prints are supplied with a hanging kit and canvas guide. Our 19mm frames are known to work well in smaller, perhaps more narrow spaces, whereas our tray framed artworks can work well to make more of a statement.

Each ‘Tempest’ cushion cover is carefully produced on a cotton/linen blend of Leenane fabric.

The ‘Tempest’ cushion is single-sided with a black Panama backing fabric, black piping and black hidden zip.

While each cushion cover measures 50x50cm, we recommend you pair each cushion cover with a 55cm insert, to keep the cushion looking plump.

Our cushion covers are of incredible quality and are machine washable too. We package each of our Toni Thornton Art cushion covers with care instructions on branded sleeve packaging. These cushion covers can make a statement in your home when paired with the Tempest print and can also look beautiful on their own.
